China Has Made A Remarkable Achievement in IP Industry
After the reform and opening-up policy, China has built the modern IP system, has established Trademark Law, Patent Law, Copyright Law, and Anti-Unfair Competition Law, etc., and has joined all major international conventions in IP industry. In addition, China has enacted “Outline of the National Intellectual Property Strategy”, and has put IP as national strategy.
The social satisfaction of China’s IP protection has improved steadily, and the overall IP protection has entered a great stage. Recently, China ranks the 14th in Global Innovation Index 2019 published by WIPO. Foreign applicants apply more than 798,000 invention patents in China, with an average annual growth rate of 3.9%, and the Trademark applications are more than 1.088 million, with an average annual growth rate of 10.5%.
China Is Building A New Pattern of International Cooperation
China will make a greater effort to strengthen international cooperation on IP protection, accelerate the establishment of a new pattern of multilateral, neighboring, small-multilateral, and bilateral international IP cooperation, and strengthen cooperation with IPOs in Asia, Europe and other countries.
China will always be an active advocate, facilitator and practitioner of international IP cooperation, and a defender, participant and builder of international IP rules.
